Penny and Weinart, both in their mid-twenties, have been adding
personal touches to their one-bedroom Tudor City apartment since
they moved in together in November. A wine rack hangs next to built
in bookcases, and the window is actually paned, common in Tudor
City but a novelty for most of Manhattan. A quaint kitchenette holds
everything they need, and the ample closet space is sufficient for
two sets of clothes.
The couple loves the orange walls of the bathroom of their one-bedroom Tudor City apartment. The pastel yellow of the bedroom, however, they're not too crazy about. "The landlord won't let us change it, though," Penny laments.
Their rent: $2,000 a month.
