Profile

After losing the lease on its long-time and always crowded Ludlow Street location, Barramundi has been reincarnated a few blocks east in a renovated tenement. The garden is gone, but the tree-trunk tables and the mounted deer's head have made the move intact and six beers on tap have joined the cast of 14 bottled brews. That weekend partiers have yet to find the new place just leaves more room for an early-30s neighborhood crowd, many of them friends with the amiable bartenders. Although a few bottles of Australia's Cooper Pale Ale or Sparkling Ale might have you pretending you're vacationing Down Under; the narrow bar's pressed tin ceilings and a Lower Manhattan (a trio of bing cherries soaked in sweet vermouth substitute for the standard Manhattan's lone maraschino) will make you glad that Barramundi is still on the Lower East Side.

Infused Vodka

The bartender creates a different variety of infused vodka every week in flavors that follow the seasons, from peach to pumpkin-spice
