Appropriately located in Trump Tower, this one-stop beauty palace offers four peaceful floors of five-star services and products. On the ground level, a beauty boutique features Avon cosmetics and bath and body products, which have come a long way since their door-to-door days. One flight up is Eliza’s Eyes @ Avon Salon & Spa, home to the industry expert on eyebrows, Eliza Petrescu. You have to book well in advance to see the brow maven herself, but a session with one of her personally trained “E-ssociates” isn’t a bad option. Further up the tower, Polished @ Avon Salon & Spa offers innovative manicures and pedicures; the Champagne Mani-Pedi pampers the palate with Champagne and chocolate truffles, and treats hands and feet with Champagne-infused products. At the full-service salon, the highlight (no pun intended) is Brad Johns’ Color Studio; a favorite of the celebrity set, Johns outfitted his entire workspace in black and white to focus attention on the color of clients’ hair. And at the quietly luxurious Spa at Avon, facials, massages, and signature body treatments like the Paraffin Body Wrap—not to mention the Relaxation Room (for lounging before and after treatments)—just might make you forget you’re in the belly of Midtown.

Look for seasonal promotions offering complimentary Avon products to take home after your spa or salon appointment.

I have never had a worse experience having my brows tweezed as I did at Eliza's Eyes. I was surprised to get an appointment with the ever popular Eliza herself and decided then and there that the ridiculous $100 fee...Read More

Micro-Shopping Districts

The Alterna-Sohos

While the rest of the city scurries up and down Broadway, these three micro–shopping districts remain blissfully unpicked-over.
