This East Village mainstay has been around since punk first reared its alienated, hung over head. Back in the early days, when St. Marks Place was rock music's gritty main drag, the two-floor costume emporium outfitted icons like Debbie Harry and the Ramones for their gigs at CBGB's just a few blocks away. Thirty years later, not much has changed: With a deep inventory in everything leather, spiked, shredded and studded, the shop is a favorite of pro wrestlers, stylists, drag queens, fetishists, and musicians of all kinds, who come to find the perfect pair of stretch black jeans for their stage act or pick up a micro-mini kilt for skipping around town. Upstairs, salesclerks who look as if they've done their fair share of rocking, are quick to help customers create the perfect look, from Goth bride or S&M master to Cyndi Lauper-wannabe.
