Thai director Aditya Assarat’s deliberately paced, understated romance between a lonely architect and a hotel owner in an empty coastal town ravaged by the 2004 tsunami does fine when it sticks to its contemplative love story. But as something resembling a plot starts to kick in, this delicate film finds itself on less-secure footing.
